Dysmenorrhea is one of the most common gynecological symptoms. It refers to lower abdominal pain, bulging, and backache, or other discomfort, before and after menstruation, which seriously affects the quality of life.

Dysmenorrhea is divided into primary dysmenorrhea and secondary dysmenorrhea.

Primary dysmenorrhea refers to dysmenorrhea without organic disease in the reproductive organs;

Secondary dysmenorrhea refers to pelvic organic diseases such as endometriosis, uterus Dysmenorrhea caused by adenomyosis.

What causes dysmenorrhea?

1) In the presence of dysmenorrhea, we should blindly use drugs, because there are many reasons for dysmenorrhea. We should have an accurate diagnosis before having the right medicine, or it will lead to aggravation.

2) If the patient has uterine dysplasia, uterine stenosis will lead to obstruction of menstrual flow, causing abnormal blood supply to the uterus. It will then lead to hypoxia and ischemia, which will cause dysmenorrhea. Some women have gynecological diseases, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, uterine adenomyosis, etc. They can also cause dysmenorrhea.

3) When the patient is under too much psychological pressure at the time of menarche, or if she has a sedentary lifestyle, the blood circulation will be blocked, therefore the operation of the menstrual blood will not be smooth. If the patient love to drink cold drinks, it can also cause dysmenorrhea.

So how do we try to avoid dysmenorrhea in our daily lives?

1) Avoid cold drinks

Summer is the season when people want to have cold drinks. During, before and after menstruation, people with dysmenorrhea should drink warm water and should not have cold drinks.

Many women find that eating a large amount of ice cream during menstruation will reduce menstrual flow, shorten the cycle, and aggravate lower abdominal pain, which is not good for the prevention of dysmenorrhea.

2) Don't get cold

In summer, people are easier to sweat, thus the pores are always open. This makes our body vulnerable to the evil of the coldness. Women with a history of dysmenorrhea should not stay directly below the fan, or below the AC. In surmise, try to avoid anything cold, both from food and drink or external contact.

3) take a rest

During the menstrual period, make sure to have adequate sleep and avoid strenuous exercise. Try to avoid excessive menstrual bleeding or closure of the tide, which will result in loss of blood, and recurrence of dysmenorrhea.

People should not stay in a sitting position for too long. Instead, they should move around properly to make the blood flow smooth.
